Sun Cupid is a renowned OEM/ODM manufacturer of small electric appliances. The company is based in Hong Kong with its manufacturing facilities located in China. Currently, our principle products include hair dryer, bread maker and toaster oven, exporting mainly to the US, Europe, Australia, and Japan. At the same time, we are actively developing new product lines, such as coffee, garment care, and health care products.
History
The company was established in Hong Kong in 1979, started out producing heater sub-assembly. Shortly after, we began to manufacture hair dryers for a leading personal care brand in the US. Over the years, the business has grown many folds, making Sun Cupid one of the largest hair dryer manufacturers in the world. Our dedication to quality products/services wins a strong relationship with the customer.
Over the years we have extended our expertise to other electrical appliances. In 1993, in cooperation with a Japanese partner, we constructed a new factory for producing bread makers and other kitchen products. Thanks to a Japanese-style sophisticated quality system and the continuous innovation in product design, the new range of products have been successful in the market. Today, bread maker remains one of our core products as we are supplying to market leaders in different parts of the world.
Subsidiaries
Over the years, several subsidiary companies have been set up pursuing business in different fields in the industry. While these companies are run separately and independently, resources are sometimes shared among the subsidiaries for the better efficiency. Also, cross-discipline information exchanges often ignite innovative ideas in production techniques.
* Sun Cupid (Foshan) Electronics Factory, Ltd Established in 1993, the company specializes in manufacturing ALCI (Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter) and sells to electrical appliances manufacturers in China. Currently employing about 500 workers, the company is one of the top ALCI producers in China.
* Sun Cupid (Shandong) Electric Ltd The company was established in 1998 in Jinan, Shandong province. It started out manufacturing and marketing storage-type hot water heater for the domestic market in China. Within a year of the product launch, it has achieved considerable success in sales and established a middle- to high-end brand image among the consumers. The company will diversify to produce other major electric appliances such as kitchen range hoods.
* Sun Cupid (Shenzhen) Electrics Ltd After the successful launch of hot water heater, the marketing and distribution division of the Shandong operation was spun off to form a new company in 2000. This allows the Shandong operation to concentrate in the manufacturing of major appliances, and the new company to market, distribute and sell a wider range of products under the brand name Sun Cupid. The headquarter is located in Shenzhen, and there are 12 regional branch offices, covering all major cities in China, each responsible for the distribution in its region.
* Consumer Electronic Division A new division is established in 2000 to develop innovative consumer electronics products using DSP technology. The first product is due to debut in 2001Q3 and will first target in the China market.
